Metal Monitor Structure Falls on Dancing Woman Inside Karaoke Club
The investigative department of the city of Surgut in Russia is continuing the investigation of a criminal case opened in June 2018 into the death of a 36 year-old woman inside a karaoke club in Surgut. On the night of June 23 a metal structure with monitors attached to it collapsed on a woman on the dance floor. From the injuries received, the victim died on the spot. Police believe that the owner of the karaoke club, providing entertainment services, did not ensure the safe operation and maintenance of a lifting technical device. On February 8, he was charged with committing a crime, provided for by paragraph. “C” of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of services that do not meet the safety requirements, resulting in the death of a person through negligence). Investigation of the criminal case continues. |

That device looked complicated! Probably a commercial package the owner purchased? If he installed correctly with any local necessary permits, then I’d say it’s the device manufacturer’s liability ?
