Re: Maryland Police Shoot and Kill Man Who Almost Bites Officer’s Finger Off.
I used to hate all cops. Then I grew up. Every cop is terrified of this exact shit. Most of them are decent. Unfortunately with policing, one bad one ruins it for all. All cops are pigs until you need one. My good friend is starting the new dedicated force in Surrey BC. The community needs it bad. They deal with this shit all the time. Im happy to pay them to do it too. |

In the United States, citizens are allowed to use deadly force to protect themselves from serious bodily harm or the sincere belief in imminent such harm. Police also have the right to do that.

Re: Maryland Police Shoot and Kill Man Who Almost Bites Officer’s Finger Off.
The article I read said he had a serious head injury, too. But having your finger nearly bitten off is also a valid reason to go to the ER. And a person absolutely has the right to use deadly force to protect themselves from serious bodily harm. It doesn't have to be imminent death to warrant deadly force in self-defense. Police are allowed to use that reasoning just as civilians are. |
