Those light blue and white striped vests are Russian telnyashka, worn by members of the VDV, Russian airborne troops. Special forces are also said to wear them too. Of course, just because the dude with the grenade detonator is wearing one, doesn't mean he was/is in the Russian military, any idiot can wear one, but he seems to know what he is going, and Russians kinda treat people who wear those who haven't served, well, poorly. They take stolen valour seriously The censoring could be covering up sensitive information, locations, names, units, intelligence etc, which again might lend credence he's at least former military, show the torture, keep the secrets |
