The city of Tucumã was the scene of a violent night on 13th September. Three people were stabbed to death in different locations, and a fourth victim remains hospitalized.

According to police reports, the first attack took place around 3:40 a.m., when a resident called authorities after finding relatives stabbed inside their home. The mother of the family was rescued but did not survive. The father was found dead on the upper floor of the residence, while one of the children survived the injuries and remains in the hospital.

Minutes later, another body - that of an old man, known locally as 'Ceará do Boi' - was found outside a hotel, near the bus station. Investigations indicate that all the attacks were committed by the same person.

After an anonymous tip, police teams located the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Rafael Araújo de Magalhães, hiding behind a hotel. During the approach, Rafael resisted with a knife, threatening the officers. Police fired back and shot him. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive.

Authorities reported that Rafael was a drug addict and was experiencing a psychotic episode at the time of the crimes.
