Two groups fighting. One pulls out a knife.

A young man has allegedly been murdered during a fight between two groups which left a Brisbane city train station a bloodied scene.

L. M. T, 24, died from his injuries sustained in the incident at Fortitude Valley train station around 4am on Monday.

The 24-year-old was allegedly stabbed during the brawl, which occurred between the two groups in a Brunswick Street mall before continuing inside a shopping complex off the same street, police said.

Police officers had been monitoring CCTV of the area when they noticed the “disturbance” taking place.

“On closer examination, they saw a male person lying on the ground and persons nearby had blood on them”.

“We immediately dispatched Queensland ambulances and uniformed officers to the railway station.

“On arrival, we located a 24-year-old male with injuries.

“Unfortunately, the male could not be saved and he was declared life extinct at the scene.”

Three men who allegedly fled the scene were found on a train station platform shortly after.

One of the men, aged 20, has since been charged with murder.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.

The two other men, aged 20 and 21, were released without charge.
