Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
The U.S. Constitution is not absolute, I think most people recognize that. My original argument or complaint was liberals trying to bend the rules to disarm law abiding citizens. Sure, you can have a gun like the 2A says, but you can't have certain magazines, can't take them anywhere, redundant waiting periods, ridiculous fees. It's all at trying to disarm Americans by targeting everything around the gun. There are so many guns in the hands of Americans that why bother? |

Sir, you and I would get NOTHING else done all day. My previous experience there was like a Black Hole of time dilation... |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Anecdote for you. I actually had an honest (right?) anti-gun Lefty (state level political seat) tell me, (paraphrasing), "we found out long ago that the 2a protects the guns too well (multiple supreme court rulings); so we shifted to ammunition, since it's not even mentioned". I told him, "I admire your honesty, good luck sir"... |

There's no point even discussing this topic. You have your opinion, I have mine and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

1). yes 2). no Now will you answer my question with as much honesty? When people physically block a roadway, and some panicking soccer mom in her SUV punches it and takes off running them over. 1). should they be allowed to unlawfully detain a stranger? 2). do they deserve to die for attempting to? |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Truth is pretty binary if you ask me. He should not have been killed and he should be able to carry a gun. Any answer other than that means you’re okay with the federal government to shoot you solely for possessing a firearm even if you were not handling said firearm. I’ll concede that had he stayed home he would be alive but we have both the first and 2nd amendment in this country. You’re allowed to protest and you’re allowed to protest with a gun and you shouldn’t be killed just for that. Even if he was mildly resisting he shouldn’t have been killed..most arrests are resisted. But this happened so fast he barely had time to resist and certainly wasn’t going for his gun.
