Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
That's because Texans are the boot lickingest, dick suckingest, ass in the air pussies that ever lived. They literally came sniveling and begging to US army because they were getting buttfucked by Santa Ana's troops in the way they started. Submission to authority is their specialty, that and talking tough are the only thing they've ever been good at. Not a good role model for a country that was born fighting the mightiest nation in the world for its independence.

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
The sad truth is, that the MAGA cult'ists are severely religious, and religions thrive on authoritarianism. Almost all the countries in the world with state religions and religious laws are also authoritarian....that was one of the reasons why religions were invented in the first place. There are online interviews with the cultists, where they admit that Trump is basically a god and noone can be like him. When he says something, it must be true, because he is "inspired by god" and god cant be wrong. If you think the maga cult doesn't want authoritarianism, you are wrong. They absolutely do want to be ruled by a dictator...just as long as its their dictator, spewing the same hatred that their specific faction spews. |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
you may miss my point. charges may be filed and officer may be punished but the circumstances of this guys decisions and actions dont change the risk he created. He could have had more than one gun. That he had a gun and someone yelled gun does not neutralize the threat or other weapons on his person while he flails around. He got pepper sprayed and tackled. There is no way he couldnt have known the officers would react to him impeding their investigation. Anyone would expect hands on, pepper spray, and tackle if they resisted or did not back up. Wasnt like he was caught be surprise. Resisting by lashing out, striking officers, refusing to allow handcuffing, all those things - even if involuntary with him flailing around - would be perceived as resisting. The officers cant in a split second determine his neurological reaction to spray or physical reaction to being handcuffed as 'beyond his control'. they have to secure the guy that brought at least one gun to a 'peaceful' protest. they will be held to the standard of law. this dude made a series of stupid decisions and got himself shot. prediction is the officers will face charges, but doesn't change dumbasses like the dead protestor. |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Even THAT is no excuse. The whole reason for this immigration purge is to hunt down "violent dangerous criminals" isn't it? So instead of sending in people with proper ballistic armor and proper tactical training, ur gonna send in these juniors with long johns wrapped around their faces? As you said, there were FIVE officers there. Ur telling me a shot in the leg or shoulder was absolutely impossible, from ANY angle? There are many times when law enforcement have to deal with crazy, unpredictable people: drunks, kids running on hormones, sovereign citizens, jealous lovers, mass shooters. Unless they are in the process of murdering people, ie holding a gun directly at someone, even they are given the minimum consideration of at least preserving their lives so that they will face justice. Law enforcement are well aware of suicide-by-cop tactics. An example I used earlier was the Toronto van attacks, where the killer was pretending to reach into his back pocket to pull out a gun in order to induce the arresting officer to kill him, and that perp is alive and well today. You can sense the division and tension just from reading the comments in this thread. People who wish MORE protesters had been killed. This man rightfully anticipated that the potential for trouble was there, so he brought his piece, which is his right under the Constitution. The fact of the matter is that the 2nd amendment is a part of our society. We give people guns, we give them licenses to carry and conceal. This man had a gun in his holster, NOT in his hand, and at the time of his murder he wasn't even in possession of his weapon Stop saying "this was a screw-up, but he had it coming." There is NO excuse or justification for this. . |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
But my original question was where do YOU draw the line, and you provided an answer. I personally feel that law enforcement should be held to a much higher standard, considering the people they deal with, and considering that flashes of ignorance and blinding fury can occur in people who are normally pacific and productive. |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
Well, I knew this shit storm would continue with tensions high and scared men scared with little to no training. This time it doesn't look in the favor of ICE and the press conference certainly doesn't parade them in the least. They need to get out of all cities and regroup before more people get killed on both sides. At this point immigration control isn't even worth it. They're going to incite a civil war if they're not careful, this country has been on edge with tensions high for a while now. |

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
16 weeks basic training, wearing masks and plain clothes and shooting people in the back whilst on the ground being held down. This doesn’t really count as law enforcement by any standards. It’s state sanctioned terrorism carried out by thugs. Whatever their purpose for existence was once, it’s become bastardised into this.

Re: Man Shot by Immigration & Customs Enforcement in MN, Jan 24
None of the ones hired in the last six months got 16 weeks of Basic. Most got 6. Several thousand, due to an alleged ‘algorithm glitch’ in their onboarding paperwork got zero. One orientation and then assignment. |
