Re: Man Listening To Headphones is Killed After Being Hit by Car
Dumb ass! I cannot feel for these people who are too busy texting, talking or listening to music, instead of watching where they are going! SICK OF THEM ALL! Cars in which the driver doesn't have to think are asking for more trouble! We are already producing a country of idiots, in the US anyway! With that said, I posted before I watched the video. Not our fault this time. |

Re: Man Listening To Headphones is Killed After Being Hit by Car
What about the assholes who are too stupid to walk to the crosswalks or cross on the proper traffic signal? I don't hit assholes, but, I would love so sometimes. People here are so used to cars aiming for them even when they are right, they always stop to give me a personal, "thank you." It is easier to stop a pedestrian than a vehicle. |

Re: Man Listening To Headphones is Killed After Being Hit by Car
Don't want to start an argument on this, but pedestrian right of way laws vary by state and even county in the US. Here in Indiana there is not such law, pedestrians only have the right of way at signaled intersections when the "walk" light is on. Indiana Code - Section 9-21-17-5: Walking or running into the path of a vehicle; prohibition - A pedestrian may not suddenly leave a curb or other place of safety and walk or run into the path of a vehicle that is so close as to constitute an immediate hazard. |

Re: Man Listening To Headphones is Killed After Being Hit by Car
I remember as a child, someone coming back from Bermuda and telling us that motor vehicles had to stop for pedestrians, no matter where they walk. Today, there are more people and more people who just don't give a shit! In a hurry to get nowhere fast, racing up to red lights to slam on the brakes! Mine last 4 years or so with a yearly inspection. Daddy taught me better than that. |
