Re: ~Man Killed While Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home~
you don’t get to second guess and reassess each shot with perfect hindsight… Shooters are trained, for good reason, to keep shooting until the threat is down. Having been spun around by the first bullet doesn’t end the threat, and even if it had there wasn’t clearly enough time for the shooter to coolly reevaluate the threat and make a new assessment in the blink of an eye. The fact you think that’s necessary is probably why you live in a country with no freedom of speech under some strongman dictator, some inbred royal, or some other unelected bureaucrat like a peon while we are still a free country, including the right to defend our home and to keep and bear the means to do so effectively. He didn’t get the ‘death penalty’, the shooting wasn’t to punish him for his crime, it was to stop the threat to the innocent and law abiding people in their own home. The fact that you try to conflate the two shows just how little you understand the situation.

Re: ~Man Killed While Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home~
Notice that it’s largely the child-bearing age women that are defending this home invader and badmouthing the rest of us civilized free society that thinks that this was a justified shooting. These women, evolutionarily adapted over the eons to first make excuses for, then get all hot and bothered for, and then finally to ‘begrudgingly’ get repeatedly nailed by (and bear the children of) whatever brute brutalizes and kills the rest of her family (or tribe) and takes her as his prize are the ones talking down to the rest of us for defending the defender… If push comes to shove with such an invader, on a deep and instinctive level, in their bones, they expect to be able to buy their own life using the moist hole between their legs, and so have an attenuated incentive to defend. The sex that is thus evolutionarily adapted to being conquered and taken by force while the rest of their kin is slaughtered are not those we should be taking our policy or morality cues from in life or death situations like this one.

Re: ~Man Killed While Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home~
The problem with that is. What if he gets the upper hand and bests someone in the house to death. Or any number of horrible things. Point really is dont break into people's houses. If you do remember you forfeit your life. They don't know what you intend to do. Play stupid games get stupid prizes comes to mind.

Re: ~Man Killed While Breaking Into Ex-Girlfriend's Home~
Under no circumstances is it okay to break into someones house unless its permitted or necessary. There is no excuse for what he did. He was told no multiples times and that a gun was present. He either didn't hear or refused to believe/listen. The father acknowledged the door had been broken in and shot three immediate times without further analyzing or seeing what would occur, which is justified when someone is trying to break into your house. As a result, he didn't see him turn away, as it wasn't a glass door by the sound of it, and after he was shot one time he shot enough times within reason to end a supposed threat. Tragic indeed, but he should have known better. |

Sadly, in my country if someone breaks into your house for any reason and you harm or kill them you can be convicted of assualt or murder and the family of perp can sue you for wrongful death. Its soo fucked, luckily in recent years it seems to be less likely you would be imprisoned though. |

Good. I'm sure he was breaking into bake cookies. Thank god in usa people can defend their homes. In Canada, you'll have to just dial 911 and hope for the best. |

Assuming dude guy doesn't have a concealed weapon or is there to do harm is how people get killed.
