It looked like he had his phone in his hand when he fell, so he wasn't just standing there, he took about two seconds to process what was happening before attempting to call for help.. unfortunately femoral artery wounds bleed out so fast he didn't even have a chance. There's nothing else he could have done, you can't even get a tourniquet on it before passing out. Poor guy was immediately fucked. |

He was stabbed ABOVE the leg so, yeah, it seems acceptable to me that nobody would attempt to put a tourniquet where none belonged.

I always appreciate such efforts but someone put a tourniquet on the man.  This is why medical gear should be part of EDC. Take a Stop the Bleed course or its equivalent. Yo u never when when you might be able to help out. About a month ago, on the way home from work, of course. I drove past a car accident involving at least two cars if not three. One of the cars was still nearly perpendicular to the right lane was still occupied but as someone was already assisting I just drove past. If not, I would've attended. |
