I think we've seen enough of these to set out some rules for surviving a mob attack: Keep moving, away from the mass, try to get out of the geographic comfort zone of the crowd. Be aggressive, don't beg, plead, or otherwise show signs of collapse, which only emboldens the worst-acting attackers. Get a weapon and don't lose it. Hurt somebody, while you keep moving, so each attacker has to figure whether he can strike w/o getting struck. Don't give up, don't stop moving. Don't turn your back, especially don't allow the critical head shot that debilitates you beyond effective self-help. Don't be born in any of several third-world countries. If you find yourself born in one those countries, don't do anything that could lead to mob violence. If born there, and you've done something that has led to mob violence, review the above rules again.
