Re: A Man Attacked a Civilian and a Soldier with a Knife
Wow, in the second video dude still has the knife sticking out. I would suppose that wound should be addressed right? Shouldn't he at least be laying down or is it more risky to remove the knife? I thought heart and head below legs to keep vitals with bloodflow, then probably remove the knife considering its depth of penetration and compress the wound. Not sure, anyone got expertise? Or if you removed the knife and inserted it in his foot, it would take his focus off his back? Yes, that's what I would do.

Re: A Man Attacked a Civilian and a Soldier with a Knife
I am a knife scientist and I can help. If he was dealing with syncope, putting his head lower than his heart would help. But who knows what moving him without traction/splint devices could do to him. Maybe they didn’t want to risk it, or he just wasn’t having symptoms. Removing it could cause more hemorrhaging. So, you’re damned if you do, damned if you don't. One can only conclude stabbing this man in the foot is the only option. |

The proper treatment of that particular penetrating wound would be to shove the knife all the way in. That way you close up the hole and prevent any messy bleeding in public. |

Or you could re-insert it in several DIFFERENT places, thus spreading the bleeding out, and of course, reducing it's severity.

Re: A Man Attacked a Civilian and a Soldier with a Knife
Okay, I'm gonna start slow here. If it hurts, just speak up and I may stop. Sliding in now, just the tip, but that can be the worst part so just bite your lip, it'll be over soon. Okay, now we're just past the tip, here comes a bit of the shaft. You're feeling it now, just relax, don't hold your breath, I'm in now, and here to stay. Now the plunging might seem upsetting for a minute or two, but the muscles will relax. Just keep biting your lip, now the pillow, and try to stay in your happy place. Okay....I'm in.
