Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
After the Niya Rivera death… I read about how people that have never been in fresh water aren’t always prepared for how tired it gets you and how much harder it is to propel yourself. Maybe this was fresh water and he wasn’t used to it? He seems to know basics… but he doesn’t seem to know the basic of not swimming alone OR with a child alone. If you are used to swimming in salt water… or a pool where you can continuously touch down on the bottom… you don’t realize how it feels to tread water in the open like that. I also think those rocks appear to be near him, but are really a ledge. I just don’t understand why he just suddenly closes his eyes and floats down…?

Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
Thank you. No, sorry, I haven't seen any news articles as of yet, so am unsure where it happened.

Maybe, if you are so smart, you can find a source of water so cold it causes you to drown, in the continent of Africa, that's also so cold people are wearing shorts and T-shirts, you ass clown:

Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
That's called drownproofing. And a key part of it is to let your head come out of the water only to take a breath. It's not intuitive at all. And it doesn't work for everybody. Even with lungs full of air many lean people will sink especially in fresh water. |

Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
No that's just what drowning looks like. It's disturbingly quiet and calm. No yelling for help no wild thrashing, just looks like a bad attempt at treading water. Which is exactly what it is.

Re: Little Girl Films Dad Drowning
Trying to keep your head especially your nose and mouth above water is why people drown. They get exhausted. Natural buoyancy with full lungs will only keep part of your face above water. And some people are natural sinkers.
