Maybe he really liked trains. Walt Disney was like that, Walt worked for a railroad before getting into animation. He loved trains and built large scale rideable model trains, Disneyland was originally a park for his train track layouts. He was friends with my mom's boss who ran a railroad in the early 1950's, my mom used to talk on the phone with Walt Disney.
