Re: LASD Shoots Woman with Knife in Her Home

I double dog dare you to list the major law enforcement agencies in the USA that issue .45 caliber handguns and ammo. Do it, I need to be enlightened. And thanks to Google we can all check your work.
Damn...double dog dare... gulp!

I can tell you that if you get your stats from YT, you're a boob. My personal experience with human beings is what I draw my decisions from and a simple Google search will tell you what cops carry .45's. Countrywide, the list is too long...

I'll avoid dox'ing myself, but suffice to say I'm intimately familiar with most police agencies in Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego Counties in California. Many if not most agencies with <200 sworn officers have the option to carry 45 ACP. Many use the Glock 21 as standard issue since the late 80's to 90's, upgrading from the 1911.

Larger agencies like LAPD and Sheriff's Departments are typically governed by liberal bleeding heart politicians who intentionally issue 9mm (exceptions for SWAT) because the lack of stopping power equates to potentially less damage and fiscal liability. Quite frankly, they feel that it's cheaper to bury a cop than pay the cost of defending exorbitant lawsuits with potential seven or eight-figure damages.

The FBI, DEA, and several other fed's have the option to also carry .45cal. Just look it up on your internet. I triple dog dare you!

Re: LASD Shoots Woman with Knife in Her Home

Unfortunately, LASD is equipped with 9mm ammo. It has more penetration but much less stopping power than the .45cal ammo that other law enforcement uses. Police protocol requires shooting at center of mass until the threat is neutralized.

From personal experience, when the target is amped up on drugs or simply a rush of adrenaline it usually takes three or more 9mm rounds to bring them down — Whereas, I've seen a grown man lifted off the ground by a single .45 to the chest at 10 yards. It's a dynamic property of hydrostatic shock.

This is what alarms those officer's carrying 9mm handguns: ⇩
Appreciate the explanation dude, I feel enlightened

Re: LASD Shoots Woman with Knife in Her Home

Yes, unfortunately I've had the experience of shooting three people. The last person was hit with a single round of .45 and went down, but survived. I do still carry a concealed 9mm for the smaller size and weight, however I only use a .45 on the job.
I wasn't trying to be as dick about it, was just inquiry and thanks for your service

You’re retarded. No agency uses 45. They started at 38, went to 40 because the gubment pushed it, then went to 9.

What you said is so profoundly stupid and wrong that I can’t tell if you’re a troll or just stupid.

Your personal experiences are clouded by mental retardation.

A simple Google search:

In the end, Rainbow City outfitted its 25 officers with the Glock 21SF in .45 ACP. Qualification scores jumped noticeably, with several officers scoring 100s for the first time in their careers.

"The officers seem happy with their .45s," Jenkins adds, "and have more confidence in themselves."

While the vast majority of officers carry 9mm and .40 caliber handguns, in recent years a number of enforcement agencies have made the switch to .45s.

The list includes: Georgia State Patrol; Florida Highway Patrol; New York and Pennsylvania state police forces; Worcester, Massachusetts, and Hartford, Connecticut, police departments; Missouri's Buchanan County Sheriff's Department; and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations... This is just a small sample of major eastern US agencies. 45's are far more prevalent in the western states.

So, OmniJackal just leave the real conversations to the adults...

Now go away child, I hear your mommy calling you. It's probably time to take your Ritalin.

No US agency uses or has ever used 45 as standard.

Leave the conversations to actual adults.

Now go away small underage person. I don’t hear either of your parents calling you because you’re an unwanted retarded bastard.
