LASD Shoots Woman with Knife in Her Home
On December 4, 2023, a deputy-involved shooting in Lancaster resulted from a domestic violence response. Deputies arrived at the scene to find N.F, 27, armed with a knife, threatening her boyfriend. The situation escalated, leading to Finlayson being shot by Deputy T.S. Despite receiving immediate first aid, N.F succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. An investigation is ongoing, involving several departments including LASD Homicide, OIG, IAB, and the DA's Office. No other injuries were reported, and a kitchen knife was recovered at the scene.
