Re: Kajieme Powell Fatally Shot by Police in St. Louis

1. Was told to drop his weapon multiple times.
2. Feel sorry for the cops who had to lawfully shoot this nutcase.
3. No Worldstar comments?!? ... wtf lol.

I would like to point out though - the amount of shots fired was a bit uncalled for. Why are cops not trained to shoot nutcases in the knee etc basically anywhere non lethal?? I can understand not every call out is the same for police BUT given this guy had a knife and could of been disabled with a shot to the knee or even shoulder.. instead of gunning him down so violently to death..
Lawful or not, there is a reason police have Taser guns

Re: Kajieme Powell Fatally Shot by Police in St. Louis

It's very hard to aim and shoot a moving person, who doesn't walk in a straight line, in a small body part like the knee or the shoulder especially when the subject is holding a weapon so for their own safety they just aim for the upper body and fire away to eliminate the possible lethal incoming danger.

Guy had it coming shouting and acting like that.
If he would have stood still they maybe could have used a taser.
I understand, but I am sure they spend time in training e.g shooting ranges etc ..

Being from the UK I have never seen or held a gun period but I am sure some of the guy across the pond could give us a real insight on how difficult it is to shoot a moving target, at 5-6 feet range and with a standard police issue side arm..

just a curious question thats all - not starting anything by asking.

Re: Kajieme Powell Fatally Shot by Police in St. Louis

This training video shows how quickly someone with a knife can close in and how even shooting to maim is not reliable. Around 1:30 shows how quickly the knife wielder can close the gap.

That was a very interesting video to watch and I learned a few valuable life saving tips from that! it also adds to what Kelly said.

Thanks!

Then shut the fuck up and stay on your island where you don't have to worry about being shot.... but you do have to worry about being beheaded in the street while people watch and are powerless to help.

Sigh.

When someone crosses the line, you shoot to neutralize the threat. You don't aim for their knees hoping to maybe hopefully incapacitate them, you aim for center mass.

Unfortunately this is always the ammo used by people who want to see police's "brutality" even when it doesn't exist. "WELL, THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO SHOOT 9 TIMES... THEY CLEARLY COULD'VE SHOT LIKE 4 TIMES... SEE... FUCK THE POLICE".

i don't see a problem. most of the world would be very pleased if a lot more of them volunteered to be executed with no trial.

Wish the cop would've tazed him instead.... It would've been a lot more fun to watch.
