Looks like the container came in contact with a live wire in the brush above. He just so happened to be grounded to the earth so it took the path of least resistance. You can see the back tires also taking the brunt of current. If only he would've been inside.

i saw the smoke and flame, but didn't take too much notice of it, hence why i no doubt missed your point my "belief" is that the tyres would not have started smoking until after the moron earthed himself out, but for your point, that is irrelevant even if the term is not 100% correct, i would still call them insulators though, because they are the thing that insulates the live vehicle from the ground, hence making it safe to sit in a vehicle that is touching live wires, and also allowing you to leave providing both the ground and vehicle are not in contact with anything but the tyres |
