Re: Joe Winko(1995-2025) Films Himself Committing Suicide Using Sodium Nitrite.
Joe Winko also posted a video from a different angle. Sorry for the delay in posting this video He considered a man who died in 2010 to be his companion, but interestingly, he never met him. You can find a photo of the man on Joe Winko's YouTube channel. According to his YouTube channel, he was receiving treatment for ADHD, but was unable to continue treatment because he didn't have his own credit card or bank account. In conclusion, he appears to have been suffering from physical, mental, and financial problems |

very uncanny seeing a suicide that includes the guy listing off what is essentially a will, what he hopes to happen after he dies, as well as very slowly and deliberately going through every single laborious step to prepare for his suicide, he had so much time to really think about it. this dude seriously, seriously wanted to die. in a way im happy for him that he doesn't have to suffer anymore

I noticed this too. Sodium nitrite causes hypoxia very quickly, your blood can’t carry oxygen and your tissues are starved of it as a result. Seems like a very nasty way to go.

But hypoxia feels euphoric? I thought it's the most pleasant way. Cause of death by methemoglobinemia is pretty rare too. |

Take yourself out by giving yourself the equivalent of the worlds worst hangover ×100 plus pain for an extended period of time? Life already fucking sucks enough but god damn no thank you.

Re: Joe Winko(1995-2025) Films Himself Committing Suicide Using Sodium Nitrite.
Some have mentioned the some of the effects of sodium nitrate on the body, but I was curious to know more. Here’s what I found, for any that are curious…. Sodium nitrite (NaNO₂) is a chemical commonly used in food preservation (like cured meats) and in industry. While very small amounts are permitted in food, ingesting higher amounts is toxic and can cause serious, sometimes fatal effects. Its main danger is linked to how it affects blood and oxygen transport, but it also impacts multiple organs: Primary Mechanism of Toxicity • Sodium nitrite oxidizes hemoglobin (the oxygen-carrying molecule in red blood cells) into methemoglobin, which cannot carry oxygen. • This condition is called methemoglobinemia. • As a result, tissues and organs don’t get enough oxygen (cellular hypoxia). Organ Effects 1. Blood & Circulatory System • Methemoglobinemia reduces oxygen transport. • Can cause cyanosis (bluish skin/lips), low blood pressure, irregular heart rhythms, and shock. • Severe cases: circulatory collapse. 2. Brain & Nervous System • Oxygen deprivation leads to headache, dizziness, confusion, seizures, and loss of consciousness. • Severe poisoning can cause hypoxic brain injury or coma. 3. Heart • Low oxygen and low blood pressure strain the heart. • Risk of arrhythmias, chest pain, myocardial infarction (heart attack) in severe cases. 4. Lungs • Body compensates with rapid breathing, but hypoxia persists. • Severe poisoning may cause respiratory distress or failure. 5. Liver & Kidneys • Hypoxia damages metabolically active organs like liver and kidneys. • Possible liver enzyme elevation, kidney injury, or even multi-organ failure if severe. 6. Gastrointestinal Tract • Direct irritation: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea. • In some cases, bloody vomiting or stools. Severity Factors • Small amounts (like in food use) → generally safe. • Moderate ingestion → nausea, dizziness, cyanosis. • Large ingestion → life-threatening methemoglobinemia, seizures, coma, organ failure, death. |
