Re: Jamaican Woman Run Over By Truck While Crossing the Road
Saw the first truck approaching, 2nd truck set a pick and screened the first truck. She must not have learned object permanence as a toddler and voila! the first truck is still there and running over her!

Re: Jamaican Woman Run Over By Truck While Crossing the Road
She was looking left at a semi truck coming at her and just thought it would auto-magically disappear when a van blocked its view for a moment?! She deserved that, the trucker didn't. |

Re: Jamaican Woman Run Over By Truck While Crossing the Road
Sad to see this young woman being killed by a speeding truck. I have seen many close calls in the Dominican Republic in similar circumstances. Truck drivers are very unsafe due their low level of experience and education. In the DR, the bus driver that was responsible for killing five and injuring 40 only got 1 year in jail. https://dominicantoday.com/dr/bavaro...-bus-accident/ Sold all of my properties and took my boat out of their waters. The Caribbean in not a safe place. Even if you are careful, just being in the street is dangerous. Many people die due to the high negligence of others. |

Re: Jamaican Woman Run Over By Truck While Crossing the Road
The truck driver looked seriously shook up about it. Despite it not being his fault, he will live with that scene until it his his time. :(

Re: Jamaican Woman Run Over By Truck While Crossing the Road
Sad, yes. But the truck sure didn’t look like it was “speeding” to me. More like crawling. She acted oblivious to her surroundings, staring straight ahead until it was inches from her. Don’t drivers honk in Jamaica?
