Driver fucking blind? I counted about 4 seconds from the time the car came into screen until impact. Pedestrian HAD to be visible for at least that amount of time.

Might have had his/her undivided attention to a cell phone screen.

That’s a very asian way of crossing a street, take it nice and slow, refuse to be intimidated by traffic coming at you, usually with a little conceited wave of the hand to a car to signify you plan to stroll nonchalantly across in front of them....

"target fixation" is what I think racecar drivers call it. There was a video where a NASCAR driver broke down. 3 or 4 drivers steer around him with awesome skills, appear to drift sideways and hit the gas to get maximum lateral movement at the last second. Then, a female NASCAR driver piles directly into the immobile car from target fixation, killing the driver as dead as friend chicken. I remember her website talks about how awesome she is being a female race car driver, no mention she killed another driver.
