Both are at fault. The car driver obviously not paying any attention, didn’t even slow down. Just plowed thru and couldn’t do any move to avoid hitting her.
The pedestrian was ridiculously inattentive as well. Yes terrible she died, but come on. All she had to do was look both ways again. Smfh.

There's no way that car could come to a complete stop before hitting the woman, it didn't even notice her until it was a couple car lengths away... you can see the exact moment when the driver becomes aware of her and hits the breaks and slightly turns towards her.

There's a point when the driver could've slowed down and make an attempt to swerve out of the way, but that's back when we see the car towards the top of the video screen... and that's assuming the road conditions aren't shit, it may be the quality of the video but it looks like it just rained which would obviously make pulling off those maneuvers more difficult.

I dont see anything wrong with the way she was walking across the street either, to me, she looks like someone who knows where she's going but isn't in a rush to get there.

In this picture the car can easily miss. She's about a foot or so into the car path. Just a little swerve right.

And she takes a step back. So if the car just went straight it probably misses her.
