She never stepped into the right lane. Car was 50/50 on the line.

And the driver turned directly into her putting all 4 tires into the left lane and striking her dead center on the car.

Maybe the driver just reacted after not paying attention. But that reaction was the opposite of the right reaction.

There's no way that car could come to a complete stop before hitting the woman, it didn't even notice her until it was a couple car lengths away... you can see the exact moment when the driver becomes aware of her and hits the breaks and slightly turns towards her.

There's a point when the driver could've slowed down and make an attempt to swerve out of the way, but that's back when we see the car towards the top of the video screen... and that's assuming the road conditions aren't shit, it may be the quality of the video but it looks like it just rained which would obviously make pulling off those maneuvers more difficult.

I dont see anything wrong with the way she was walking across the street either, to me, she looks like someone who knows where she's going but isn't in a rush to get there.

She never got to where she was going, across the street. She's still on the road, so technically her final destination took a hit and back flipped her.

Wonder why she didn’t look right when that’s the only direction traffic could have come from? He was speeding yes but if she’d checked both ways she’d have seen him in time. Never trust a crossing.
