This video has been posted here before but was called "CIA torturing" or something like that. I agree, Torture will provide little credible info as most people will say anything to stay alive/stop the torture. |

For those of you who don't think torture works, let me pose this question- if you were captured and your captors asked you questions relating to info they wanted, would you then give them that info? If not and they started torturing you, would give them the info they wanted? I expect you would- I KNOW I'd be telling them EVERYTHING they wanted to know. So, does that make the information you gave them, not reliable? No, the info is reliable all they have to do is then verify what info IS reliable and distinguish it from the other mumbo jumbo you gave them. Also, let me pose another question about the 'morality' of torture. Say someone kidnapped one of your children and gave you proof that unless you met their demands, that child would die. The kidnapper gets captured, but refuses to tell the police anything. Then a man comes to you and tells you, if you help me break this person out of jail and let me torture him, I KNOW and PROMISE you I can get your child back alive- ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO TELL EM YOU WOULD TELL THIS MAN 'NO, LET MY CHILD DIE' ? I don't know about you, but not me- not only will I help the guy get him out of jail- I'm askin if I can help with the torture in any way. You know why? Because those I love mean WAY more to me than some scumbag that gets his kicks from little kids.

Torture does not work when the suspect knows nothing.Torture does work when they know somthing.Its just that the ones who know nothing tell you anything to survive.You take the good info with the bad info,its better than no info. |
