López Sanabria, who faked his death, was deprived of his freedom in the maximum security prison of Ilama Santa, Barbara, better known as El Pozo. In the recent trial of "Tony" Hernandez, the Prosecutor's Office of the Southern District of New York, presented as evidence several drug dealers, allegedly owned by several drug traffickers, among which López Sanabria was identified. The victim lost his life in an alleged prison riot and strangely days after the ruler of Honduras, Juan Hernández, brother of "Tony" Hernandez announced new restrictive and security measures in Honduran prisons. López Sanabria, who was deprived of his freedom, was accused by the Public Prosecutor for the crimes of the use of a supposed name, possession of commercial and prohibited weapons and possession of prohibited explosives. The alleged drug trafficker, who was a member of the Valle Valle cartel. On October 7 in an interview with CRITERIA , Captain Santos Rodríguez Orellana, revealed that in the III Infantry Battalion, located in Naco, Cortés, López Sanabria and other members of the drug cartels received training to successfully carry out their activities within organized crime. The lawyer defending the victim, Carlos Chajtur, in statements to local media, held the government responsible for the crime, because although he repeatedly requested the transfer of his defendant arguing several attacks against him, he was denied that request. Chajtur also said that he does not believe that death comes off a riot. "He was killed to shut his mouth," he said, while he hinted that the crime could be linked to the narco-books his client had in his possession and that they are now in the custody of the Public Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Narcotics Unit. The lawyer, who fears for his life, also warned that Julissa Bandy García, wife of López Sanabria, and who is in prison in a women's prison near Tegucigalpa, is also in serious danger. The National Penitentiary Institute briefly informed in a statement about the alleged mutiny and crime of López Sanabria and assured that those responsible for the incident have already been identified and placed under the orders of the competent authorities so that the responsibilities of the case can be deducted. |
