India: Multiple Dead in Head On Collision
In an accident today in Nalgonda, nine people including seven women and a rickshaw driver died when they collided head on with a lorry. Eleven others, all women, suffered injuries when the seven-seater vehicle collided with a truck at Angandipet stage of PA Pally mandal in Nalgonda district. The condition of four of the 11 injured women is said to be serious. Among the dead were K.M.(40), the driver, his wife 'C' (35) and his mother 'P' (50). The others were identified as N.P. (40), N.S., G.I. (48), G.P. and N.A. (50). Two other women died while undergoing treatment at a Hyderabad hospital. All of them were agriculture labourers and natives of Chinthalabhavi. The accident took place at 6:45 pm when the seven seater carrying 20 agriculture labourers collided head on with the container lorry when 'K' tried to avoid hitting an oncoming SUV that was overtaking the truck at Angadipet, about 51 km from Nalgonda.    |

I don’t see an SUV! Where did it go? It was oncoming and attempting to overtake the truck, but then disappears into another dimension? (think Todd Pipehammer and Fringe) If the 7 seater had to take such drastic moves, the SUV should have been in the footage.   |

so many lives lost. do indian lives weigh less than american or australian or english ones? these were mothers, fathers, daughters, cousins, they loved and they were loved. it's a terrible accident. very sad.
