Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis

Fair enough. But I want to ask one thing and I want an honest answer. Where were any of you folks who are crying over this mentally unhinged woman who played a stupid game and won a stupid prize, when Obama was deporting 3 million illegal immigrants and over 56 people died as a result of being kept in the Obama cages at ICE detention centers? Where were you when Hilary Clinton very openly and loudly declared in a public forum that she would deport illegal criminals? You all didn’t seem to care then, as a half Mexican Latina, I find it absolutely disgusting that MY COMMUNITY are being used by lunatic lefties for virtue signaling and selective outrage. Seriously, I NEVER see you guys shopping at the Mexican markets, I never see you guys doing anything for Hispanic communities, you don’t go to the Mexican side of town or actually care about our immigrants or what they need. Do you even know the name of the president of Mexico? Who she is and what political party she stands for? Do you know Mexico considers illegal entry a felony? You don’t vote for people who have a good solid plan for immigration reform. You don’t do anything for Hispanic communities.

You don’t riot or protest for the two Hispanic immigrants killed by some deranged transvestite who shot up a ICE detention center, YOU CHEERED IT. You choose scumbags as your martyrs. Quit pretending to care about us because we don’t want your sympathy or help. We want you to stop acting like a crow faced liar who talks all about “poor Mexicans” without actually knowing anything about us. We don’t want illegal criminals who rape kids in our communities. Do you seriously believe ICE is storming random homes pulling mothers away from their kids? They go after criminals. I grew up in a Hispanic community, I’ve lived in Mexico, we do not like outsiders. I’ve seen ICE do their job. It offends nobody within our communities because we know those people were bad. We also don’t like being indentured servants and I used to be a house cleaner and I know how liberals really treat Hispanics. There is a reason we don’t put money we earn into your economy and why we send it back home to family in Mexico. We think the majority of Americans are crazy.

Anyways how’s that “white privilege” working out for Renee Good? Not very well huh. Selective outrage and virtue signalling at its finest. Go to Minneapolis and ask the black community there how they feel about George Floyd’s family. Plenty of videos of black people openly saying they did NOTHING with the 20 million dollars they received to help black community in Minneapolis. They left and moved away and then spent it all and went broke. Plenty of Hispanic children in our communities are victims of sexual assault, violence, and death at the hands of illegals. And where were you when a beautiful 19 year old black girl named Dacara Thompson was brutally raped and dismembered by an illegal dude from Guatemala? You expect me to think you really care? Please.

Yikes.

You projected an entire political identity onto me and spent several paragraphs attacking that instead of what I actually said. I clarified one rumor about Renee with verifiable sources.

As moderators, correcting misinformation is something we do whenever we can.

None of the stuff about cheering violence, ignoring crimes, ICE, Obama, Minneapolis, Hispanics, or "lunatic lefties" came from me. Those are your assumptions, not my positions.

Not talking about those topics does not equal supporting or opposing them. It equals me responding to the claim you made and nothing more.

Hard pass on engaging with the rest.
Enjoy your night.

Okay, that’s fair and I apologize for making assumptions against you and misinterpreting your reply. I shouldn’t have done that. At least I can admit that I was wrong. Like I said, it’s a heated controversial topic and makes people on all sides emotional…unfortunately I’ve experienced way too many people who are defending this woman, be exactly like I described. So it’s hard to trust who is not being a total hypocrite for the virtue signals and who is just being neutral and posting information without bias. This whole situation has brought out the worst in everyone. But it really is super frustrating to see people claim to care about my community and people within it who do nothing to help it and really couldn’t care less. It’s all just words to make them feel good about themselves.

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis

I agree, someone should close it because we all have a personal life experience regarding our opinions on ICE and law enforcement and it’s too controversial a topic that leads to us getting heated and upset. I’m sick of hearing about it anyways. The whole thing is incredibly retarded.
I don’t mean this in any kind of snarky or adversarial way - but if you’re sick of topic, can’t you just not click on this thread instead of suggesting that the thread be closed altogether?

Some folks enjoy debating, and other folks (like me) enjoy watching them debate it.

Yes and I don’t think I’ll post in this thread anymore since it’s too emotionally charged and divisive. People are gonna have their opinions and disagree on things… I think it should be closed because there are people being psychos in this thread saying that people should all be shot and killed just for protesting? I’m not talking about the main incident where the woman who got shot was putting herself in danger by interrupting a federal officers duties.

Look, some dude just posted here that he thinks all the protesters deserve to be killed. Thats not okay. There are kids in those crowds and people just peacefully holding signs. Not all of them are violent mobs, some are but not all of them. Anyways the violent mobs are just anarchists and would do it at any given opportunity and don’t really care about the woman shot either.

It’s just like the Kirk thread, too politically charged. I’m sure people will assume I’m a right winger because of my views but I’m not. Im classic liberal and just hate the hypocrisy and double standards I’m seeing. Like the anarchists hating on ICE for doing their job then deciding it’s ok to go harass random people for driving SUVs or approach random people with lame ass demands and profile innocent people and accuse them of being ICE. It’s all just totally fucked. Still, I don’t think they deserve to be killed just for that. Prison and re-education perhaps, but not death. People are also angry because of other things going on like inflation, high cost of health care etc. I’m neither left or right leaning politically. I hate the bs equally all around. Both left and right wingers are causing problems but only one side seems to have a pattern and track record of selective outrage and double standards.

Re: ICE Agent Shoots and Kills Woman in Minneapolis

The majority of Americans are absolute tards though. Must be the failed education system that allows people to graduate with the reading comprehension of a 3rd grader. Something like 70% of Americans don’t even own a passport and never even left the country to see that other places are in fact, less retarded as a whole. I’ve travelled to several developing countries where there are actual oppressive governments that hold power and yet the vast majority of the citizens don’t have this entitled narcissistic mentality that so many Americans have…

You know why Singapore is such an awesome place? Because they do not allow people to FAFO. They KNOW humans are retards, and are smart enough to enact laws with strict punishments as deterrents. Anyways do all the tards whining about how bad they have it in the US and how it’s “unfair” to enforce immigration laws, the US is actually quite lenient. Mexico considers illegal entry a felony and they will imprison and deport any gringos they see fit. I wonder if Renée Good owned a passport, and followed immigration rules when she traveled. If so, she was nothing than a hypocrite. Also nobody wants to talk about how she abused her kids and got custody of them taken away I see…I have no sympathy for a tard who dies resisting a federal officer for the sake of virtual signaling who is also a child abuser. It’s a good thing I don’t run a country, or anyone who abuses children would be given the death sentence.
I tried to make my poem into a song

Actually, this is one of the biggest reasons why it’s good to keep this thread open. It invites the psychos, who would have otherwise remained in the closet, to show their true colors. It’s valuable information seeing the psychos out themselves for everyone to see

No worries. You are not the first to do this and will not be the last. I do appreciate the accountability, thank you for that.

I agree this topic is heated and brings out strong reactions in a lot of people. Grounding things in verifiable info helps keep the wheels on.

Unless someone works in an occupation that requires removing bias, all humans express their inherent bias one way or another. Accepting that made a tremendous difference in how I view both myself and other people.

For context, I am a humanist before all else. Avoiding generalizations and classifying entire groups of people under a specific label is something I consciously try to avoid all day, every day. Not all _____ are the same. (fill in the blank). It is my personal belief that we, as a species, do it as a form of unconscious coping, comfort, or convenience.

I have definitely done it for all the same reasons. What I eventually figured out is that labeling people both simplifies and complicates reality. It makes the world easier to sort in your head, but it also flattens people into categories that usually miss the truth.

This situation specifically? I posted on that a little bit earlier in the thread but I will elaborate that in my personal opinion, both sides of this incident share responsibility that directly influence a very basic human biological response and instinct. Fight or flight.

I do not believe she was trying to run him over. She was trying to flee and reportedly hit him in the process but I did see her attempting to turn her wheel to avoid him. She chose flight. And regardless of any previous experiences the officer had similar to this or any procedural mistakes he may or may not have made, he chose fight, as trained to do. On the simplest terms, whether right or wrong, both responses were entirely expected.

Take away all the labels for both of them, all of the preconceived notions for both parties, why they were there, and what they were doing before the incident. The seconds that surrounded the incident itself were the worst case scenario on both sides. Both acted on instinct which ended one life and altered another.

Tragic, all around.
