People hate that cop because of what he did and what his actions represent, not who he was. He executed a mother of 3 ... and no, it wasn't self defense. He literally didn't even drop his fucking phone, to stop filming. The second and third shots were purely to finish her off. At no point did he think "oh shit, i might die". Just pretend to be that guy yourself, and see, what would you do first, if you thought that a car was about to drive towards you. Take a quick step to the side, jump to the hood, or spend time unholstering your gun, aiming, and hoping that the shots will stop the driver from accelerating VS not cause her to accelerate( which actually happened ). He was also untrained - you don't walk in front of the car if you suspect any danger. Its standard training in almost all police forces in the world. Had he not been that dumb and greedy for a video, that woman would be home right now.

I get what you are trying to say in both of your comments.

In any group, the loudest and most extreme voices tend to get the most attention. That makes it look like they represent the whole group even when they do not.

Regarding Islam, out of about 2 billion Muslims, the worst of the worst tends to get amplified in the same manner. That creates a distorted picture. There are plenty of Muslims who speak out against the things you mention, but we rarely see them because media and platforms mostly show conflict and extremes.

The same amplification happens in US politics. Every side has extremists, moderates, internal disagreements, and silent majorities, but we end up seeing only the loudest edges and the most performative voices.

About your second post: I can relate. I also hesitate to discuss politics because it is rare to find someone who can hear a different view without treating you like an enemy or jumping to insults.

To reiterate, I do not line up cleanly with either party. I care about individual issues over team identities, so sometimes I land left, sometimes right, sometimes in between. But the whole system has felt broken for a very long time.

No need to feel tension, I'm not looking for a quarrel. I appreciate mutually respectful discussion with people who hold different views. We all have different experiences in life, and half the value in conversation is understanding why someone thinks the way they do. :)

I'm not a Trump fan. But our country was not headed In a good direction with Biden. We need to find middle ground, starting with the fact that these ICE agents are here enforcing immigration laws and domestic policies that were in place and disregarded by our previous president. It's not a Republican thing either, the Clintons and Obama were pro-deportation before Trump.
They stood for what ICE is doing because letting in millions with reckless abandon doesn't make sense...it doesn't. If folks want to be here, come here legally. We should be keeping track of who comes here. Our own security, economy, housing and job market, and already broken social and Healthcare systems are negatively affected..because a large influx of people to this magnitude isn't normal. Every single country on the planet needs borders, limits and rules. And I say that as a person in the middle.
Our country just keeps getting more and more divided. This isn't solving any problems. We shouldn't need ICE, they are there enforcing laws we already had in place. Law enforcement has to enforce things that are law.
This woman's death is awful, but it was preventable. We need a major reset in this country and it's sad watching it fall as far as it has.

They believe if they kill you for speaking anything critical of him, then they will go to heaven. It's unfortunate that she got killed but she did that to herself. You do not drive toward an office and expect the officer not to react. You are saying they have immunity but that guy who kneeled on George Floyd is rotting in prison even though Floyd than more than the average dose of fentanyl in his blood than it takes to kill a human. Tell me how that makes sense? Where is his immunity? I just watched a video of a police office getting rammed by a car and he flew like 10 feet up in the air? Not sure if you think Police have immunity against cars too but just so you know, they do not. 18 USC 111 makes it illegal for someone to impede, resist or interfere with federal officers which is what this lady was doing. They had every right to arrest her for impeding and interfering with their enforcement. She was being stupid and started driving toward an office, whether that is intentional or accidentally, is hard to tell but from officers point of view, you have a criminal driving toward you and you have splits second to react. Officer did the right thing because it is possible she always intended on turning the wheel but officer didn't know that. Her previous action made him believe that she was going to run him over.
