Re: I Believe I Can Dive
Damn skippy, my best friend went to the univ of hawaii at Hilo on the big island. We went cliff jumping at south point.I jumped out and wound up leaning back to far and essentially hit a backflip from 50feet. I have never felt an impact like that in my life..it was like hitting concrete.Surfaced quickly and the pain subsided in a minute or so,however the next day it felt like i got in a car accident. Neck, back, all sorts of sore!

Re: I Believe I Can Dive
There is a local lake I cliff jump off and the highest point is 48 feet (Measured myself). It's a bitch when you don't hit the water the proper way. A simple trick to determine the height of a free fall cliff jump is to use this formula: Distance = 16t². I timed this jump at 3 seconds even so the jump was 144 feet. But the Golden Gate bridge jump height is 220 feet and not many people survive that so this guy either is stupid or didn't accurately determine the height of the jump beforehand. The speed at impact is around 60mph. Fuck that.
