Little bit of overkill but in the second vid you can see the officer stepping back while the 'victim' tries to attack the officer after a struggle the officer did the right thing.

No need to fire that many shots.
The cop was spot on and could have stopped after the first shot at that close of range.
1 or 2 shots to the legs after backing up quickly would have sufficed.
The victim was a trooper though and took all them bullets like a man before he slumped over.

The cops need to ask themselves
"If my child was the victim would i as the parent be happy with the way the officer handled it or do i think alternative methods other than firing 6-7 shots would have worked better and theyd still be alive?"

Police are trained to shoot to neutralize the threat. That's after they use escalation of force. Non lethal was deployed with the taser, that was ineffective so lethal methods were used when he saw something pulled off his belt. In that split second I guarantee you he didn't know what the fuck it was.

Now I hate police more than life itself but in this particular case the officer had no choice but to shoot him. He literally tried everything else to handcuff the suspect (beat him/taze him) . And if a fucking maniac is coming at you (again) what would you do?
