No, pretty sure he is shot by other guy. I hear a shot before the flash on/near his gun. Sounds like he shot a burst of multiple rounds, the flash is probably a bullet hitting the steel of the gun the receptionist is holding. Guns 'explode', but it is rare, usually if a gun cartridge ruptures and the receiver fails to contain the blast, people might have ringing ears, sometimes hand and eye injuries. A burst barrel from an obstruction can kill you (think Elmer Fudd when Bugs Bunny puts his finger in Elmer's shotgun barrel, barrel explodes, Elmer is immediately in blackface like Al Jolsen). But the receptionists gun on the floor looks intact and unexploded. The guy is pointing the gun at the receptionist and fires a burst at him, looked kinda intentional but I bet it wasn't... the receptionist had been fucking around with the action on the gun that went off before he handed it over.... |

Btw, he did shot himself but it looked like the magazine on the weapon exploded from a malfunctioning cartridge or something. The barrel was clearly facing up and away from him. Is it possible for cartridges in a magazine to backfire or explode like that?
