Hitman Shoots Target at Restaurant, Then Kills Customer Who Tried to Flee
Guayaquil, Ecuador A hitman entered a restaurant and shot dead his target, before fleeing. A companion of the victim took out a firearm and tried to chase the killer - however, the assailant reacted and fired again into the business, unintentionally shooting a diner who had attempted to flee from the shots. As of November 30, Guayaquil had recorded 2,322 murders, compared to 1,967 homicides in all of 2024. |

It looks like someone inside the restaurant to the right (the "good guy" with the gun?) shot the guy in the middle of the floor at 0:20. WTF was that about?  |

He was running from the return shots and turned around to see that guy down and assumed it was the shooter pursuing

It’s a pretty good observation and certainly plausible. Any other reason he’d shoot a dead guy in the head before coming out of the hallway looking all flustered, presumably after realizing it wasn’t the shooter on the ground?
