The engine wasn’t on. With a standard transmission you must maintain above a certain RPM yourself or the engine will die. It is impossible to be at a dead stop, turned on, and in gear with nobody inside. If you let off the clutch while in gear at a stop without applying any throttle to maintain RPM the truck will lurch like this and die. There is no way it could sit there in gear and still be running.

Truck was off and popped out of gear.

This is literally why I come on here.

This is one of the reasons I love coming here. Whatever kind of shape I’m in mentally I can watch someone in way worse shape than myself, read a few comments, then find this kind of fun, harmless and witty exchange that makes me laugh my ass off.

I thanked you for it now also. We all make little mistakes of that sort. One time I saw an elderly woman drop her purse and as I went to pick it up, I was conflicted as to whether or not to return it to her. I am ashamed to say this because I was going through a tough time myself at the time, but I fucked a dead moose.
