My 5 year old nephew and his 8yr old brother were playing at their dad's lumber yard in 2003. They took keys to the forklift and ofcourse, the 5 year old was killed. The news played my brother in law's 911 call one night when I wasn't expecting it and his screams were horrifying. He ended up going to jail for a year. Said my nephew's spine was coming out his side. I especially hate seeing these.

A forklift driver with a full load should drive backwards so he can see clearly. It’s the drivers fault straight up. Took many forklift safety courses.

You're right, same for where I work; plus you have to have a spotter following you as a 2nd set of eyes. I like these accident videos because they remind me to follow the rules at my job. I used to get hurt frequently in one small way or another but since I started my current job with all these safety regulations I have not received much more than a papercut or slight bump on the head. That would not even happen had I been wearing gloves and my hard hat. I feel blessed to live in the United States and even more so working for a strict safety-oriented company.

Definitely GTA V NPC characters have better AI routines than these China made defective flesh cyborgs.  When the retard comes into view the forklift was already backing up, where did the stupid asshole thought the forklift would be going? It was at the entrance of the alley for crying out loud! It was either to drive down the street (which I don't think forklifts do, even in China!) or go into the alley (the only viable option). So why walk right in the middle of the alley whit the speed of an old fart with arthritis?! As always: Zero peripheral vision is the curse of Asian people's slanted eyes???  |

Both the Driver and The Victim are just incredibly stupid it is beyond belief. The previous poster is of course 100% correct. If your lift load obstructs safe driving you go in reverse to see everything in your path. The guy that got run over purposely walked right down the center of the lane not even thinking he just passed a Full forklift. (That Goes Down That Path) Hundreds of times a day** Forest Gump said, "Stupid Is As Stupid Does"  |
