Cops shouldn't ever have to perform CPR in that situation! When a suspect is deemed a threat to their lives, the officer then becomes, by being a physical extention of the law, a lethal weapon, with full authority, to destroy that threat, to their lives, and others! Period!

The suspect, innocent as he was, CHOSE to keep walking away, backwards, ignoring police order WITH his hands in his pants, unseen to the officer.
