Re: Gambian Chest Transgressions
Russian to English translation can really be something. When I was reading Gulag Archipelago I kept wondering if I was really supposed to be picking up such a strong sense of humor humor. It's known as such a dark thing. Anyhow, I've always enjoyed sampling little snippets of audio from old media, audiobooks included. So I found a copy of it on Archives.org, and began listening to it as an ebook companion--eyes get sore, on my bike, or in bed etc. I came to realize that the humor is very real, and in fact, detrimental to the reliving process for the collation and writing of such material. Not to mention surviving it the first time around. Here are a few of my favourite samples pulled from it. |
