Everyone who can is leaving California.. I joined the Navy in 1990 and never came back except to visit family.. Almost joined the Fremont PD, thankfully I didn't....

One of Fremont's homes is here in Tucson, down in the old section. I assumed he lived here on his way to California, but perhaps he was part of the "Great Exodus" from California over the last 10 years. Maybe it got here by truck.

In the dead guy's defense, after watching all of the videos a few times, specifically the Youtube one, the cop giving the orders left room for interpretation of "drop down to the ground now" after announcing "gun, gun". I could see where the dead idiot may have interpreted it as "drop [the gun] down to the ground now" following the "gun, gun", because it looks like he was reaching in and throwing it to the side just as he was getting blasted.

Not that I'm defending his presence on the planet as being a good thing, because good, but still. I think I see what happened.

I've lived in San Francisco going on 20 years. I've never felt unsafe even as the situation in the city has gotten worse. Truth is, it's getting worse all across America from California to Texas to Florida to Wisconsin to Tennessee to Arkansas to Louisiana and the list goes on an on. Those who end up in trouble are usually doing something stupid in order to win the stupid prizes that are being given out for stupid games.
