I wonder if the surrounding water had any mitigating effect on the explosion. I dont know if its water vapor we're seeing from that explosion or not, but regardless, I wouldnt want to be standing near that blast when it happened. The damage to the large building next to the explosion was more than I expecting... not to mention that it was heard from 50 miles away?! Sheesh.

you are seeing water vapor condense(momentarily) in the low pressure zone immediately behind the shock wave front.

had this happened in the desert, it wouldn't have looked as impressive. the more moisture in the air, the more dramatic the effect.

Being in a seaport it looks more like chemical/explosive accident. There have been dozens of similar explosions in seaports the last two centuries.
Don't always blame the jew to find a reason to destroy them; after 2000 years it's getting old, seriously.
