y'all cray. copper justified, although more details are needed to properly dispense DR justice. Did he announce hisself as a cop when knocking? If so, shooting was justified because owners, upon hearing that a cop's outside, should've secured the dog properly in anticipation of just such an incident occurring. am I right or am I right?

Seems owners at fault...no signs regarding to beware of dog or unless they were on the gate. They need a peephole or a glass door so they can see outside before they just open the door. Dog wisperer says pack leader should always greet those at the door first. The dog was first which is telling that the girls did not have control of their pet. Wonder what brought the cops to the door in first place. am sorry about the dog. After all that, he/she died alone.

Justified in my opinion. He had to make a choice: risked getting badly bitten or equalizing the situation. Made the right decision in terms of his own safety.
