It's a government car. When I was in Moscow I noticed right off that most of the cars had a Russian flag rather than a regular plate . I asked why and was told those were state owned cars driven by government employees. They use them for personal use as well. Might of even been a police vehicle with the wife driving her husband somewhere.

No excuse for either party. There was oncoming traffic on the other side of the road. Mom shouldn't have been going. The crosswalk is not a safe zone. People don't take driving seriously enough. |

Jesus... My two cents as well: Both parties should really pay some kind of attention to their surroundings. When I'm leaving work in the city, I always keep my head on a swivel when crossing anywhere. At the same time, when I'm driving, I cannot stand when people believe that if they walk (or dart) out in front of traffic, some force-field will protect them. Not saying that the mother/daughter deserved it, but just take a moment to LOOK. |
