no she's far from an idiot, she's intelligent and correct...you can't trust your life or the life of your child in the hands of a driver when you have no idea what that driver is going to do...you wait for the car to pass...drivers fault here but what does it matter whos fault it was now that someone was possibly killed? I think the kid might have avoided death...looks like he barely got hit. Not sure about the mom, she hit her head hard on the ground. |

Of course. If a pedestrian is not looking to make sure you stop you can just run them over. Makes perfect sense. Doesn't even matter if they are in the cross walk or not. Same goes for stop lights... If someone crossing the intersection doesn't look to see if you are coming you don't have to stop either.

When your out and about there is one thing you have control over: yourself. You don't know who's paying attention and who isn't. It doesn't matter if pedestrians have right of way, vehicles are MANY times heavier. Take your well being and that of those around you into your own hands. Assume NOBODY is paying attention but you. |
