Re: Father and Son Shot and Killed in Hallway of Brooklyn Apartment Building
I get you're point, but it's an invalid comparison between individuals living in a country with specific laws on how to deal with criminal acts, and a sovereign nation responding to what they see as an unprovoked... or at least unreasonable attack. Despite the notion of the presence of an international court, countries aren't bound by international law in the same manner as citizens are bound by their national laws.

Re: Father and Son Shot and Killed in Hallway of Brooklyn Apartment Building
I was with you at first... then you went off the rails. Lol. There is definitely self defense in NY. They don't have stand your ground, so if you can back away easily, do it. Why not? But, if you're life is in imminent danger, you can definitely defend yourself. Happens every day without charges being filed. Had this guy pulled out his gun and shot the scissors guy when he was coming at him, he'd of likely been fine...especially after the first time the man threatened him with the scissors and was pulled away. But, you can't shoot someone running away. And you can't put more rounds into their head after they're down. That's anywhere in the US btw... even stand your ground states.

Re: Father and Son Shot and Killed in Hallway of Brooklyn Apartment Building
I do not think this had anything to do with drugs. It’s the war on drugs that needs to end. Legalize regulate, educate and tax them all just like alcohol. While we’re at it, cut the $766b defense budget in half, have inmates/convicts and also the military perform community services such as planting forests, helping animals, building homes, cleaning refuse, growing crops and assisting businesses to lower the prices of consumables, encourage more working from home/less driving to reduce our carbon footprint, and we can use the resulting trillion dollar revenues to give everyone in America a home, food and a sustainable future.
