Pretty positive that was a Sloth Bear- they're the most aggressive bear, and are responsible for more attacks on humans than any other bear. It's speculated the aggression is due to living with/being hunted by tigers, where being overly aggressive towards said tigers is pretty much the only defense they have. Humans seem to get the same treatment. Either way, fuck getting mauled to death

I thought it would be a sun bear, to be honest. Bear spray is cheap. I have some just in case I dare to go out to the woods one day but if they (presumably) gathered wood regularly in bear country, then carry it by default. Better to have it and not need it...
