Farmer Beaten to Death by Nephew After an Argument Over Stolen Plantains
Guyana, A row between a 51-year-old Leguan farmer and his nephew, 23, ended tragically on Wednesday as the farmer was beaten to death by the nephew. The entire incident was caught on camera by another relative. The farmer is A. J. called “B”. The farmer and his nephew got into a heated argument after the nephew went into his farm and picked plantains. The farmer armed himself with a cutlass and followed the nephew to his mother’s house as they argued over the plantains. Once at the home of the nephew’s mother, the farmer lashed the nephew across his legs with the cutlass. In return, the nephew armed himself with a piece of wood and savagely beat his uncle to the head and upper body. The man collapsed on the side of the roadway as others watched on. He was eventually picked up from the roadway and taken to the hospital where he died while receiving emergency care. The nephew has since been arrested as the Police conduct their investigations. Charges are likely to be filed against the nephew within days. |

~ Nephew was probably a freeloader who expected special favoratism from relatives. The uncle was having no more of that, probably already having to deal with it every day
