some of us have family members that are unstable and could easily wind up in this situation.... the problem is... the po-po were behind their doors and EASLIY could have deployed the dog or non lethal means.... when society is OK with police shooting and killing at will then society is doomed. FTP that act in this manner. killing mentally unstable people is not OK... hell they wont put to death unstable people why is it ok to kill them on the street.

In reality cops should always have non lethal means to end situations like these before they have to escalate them. The cops don't need excuses when its put into law that they must at all times have to have non lethal means to end situations like these. They are trigger happy. Look at the cop having the weapon pulled out ready to fire before he even stopped the vehicle....ridiculous.

I live in a country where human life is more valuable than a cops right to kill you- yes kill you if you don't comply. The day you think it's ok to be shot for not complying you are living in a Police State.

I am not a cop and have never been in a situation like this or any of the recent events that have come into play, but I do think 1 shot should be enough to maim someone enough to get some cuffs on them. I could be wrong though..I don't know. I also feel that the body is probably going to be writhing around in some pain after being shot so telling someone that you just shot to 'put their hands up' is likely not going to happen. But again, I don't know.

You make some good points. When I was younger this could've easily happened to me if the cops fucked with me on the wrong day. I could also see myself shooting someone like that too in this type of situation.
