Spare the rod, spoil the child. Spoil the child, spare the rod. Take your pick there are no gray areas. The child will have a red and sore buttocks However he will not be hurt and they strung him like that to protect him from being hit anywhere else. It is much better that they do that otherwise he would get hit wherever the rod hit him at. And he would be moving around just out of nature. Mind you I have never spanked like that but I do spank my kids on their buttocks. That is why God made us to have so much fat (padding) there in the first place. |

My old man was a Guadalcanal Mud Marine and a Chicago cop. When he beat us kids there was no mistaking the fact you deserved what you got. The stuff I endured in order to take slake off of curling the bumper on our '58 Chev would make your eyebrows make room for your brain. And it wasn't what you think. He made me work and that's another story...............  |
