Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
I do not have the back up officers dashcam Also Dinkhelers dashcam keeps rolling and you cant see much but you can hear a woman trying to help him, its very hard to listen too I saw the entire program about 10 years on VHS tape Thats how I know whats in the other dsahcam videos But I am not a LEO and my good friend who is a LEO is worried about getting in trouble for lending me the old VHS or DVDso I can rip it to my computer, and the last thing I want is for him to get in trouble for something I did The programs are copyrighted and not for public view, but I dont want to get into that stuff If I am sent any extra footage even if it is anonymous, trust me, it will be posted in this thread Thats why I put this in a less traveled area of the forum |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
Ah cool, thanks dude. I don't want anybody to get in trouble, I'm just very interested in the case. It's a really shitty thing. By all accounts Dinkheller sounds like he was a stand up guy. Brannan however, sounds like a total piece of shit. I remember reading somewhere he said that he basically killed Dinkheller because he didn't feel respected, and would do it again because, "he let me." I don't see how the fuck he wasn't respected. I mean, goddamn, even after he'd shot Dinkheller he was called "sir," by a man begging him to stop killing him. |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
Judging by what I've read, I think that subconsciously Brannan wants to be killed. After all the trauma and issues that he has, I don't think he's mentally stable. It seems a bit out of the blue to be stopped for speeding, and then suddenly decide you're gonna kill the cop. I kinda believe the stuff about the vietnam flashbacks, I mean, the way he acted once he decided he was gonna kill Dinkheller seems like he was not in the right mind. He just seemed to flip to soldier mode in that instance. |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
Agreed with both of you And listen to what Brannan says right before throws a punch and Dinkheller hits him with the ASP (off camera) First he says "What the fuck is your problem man?" Followed by "I am a god damned Vietnam Combat Veteran, and im not gonna take any shi......" Then he gets hit and goes back to his truck In the first interview with detectives they ask him what were you saying or what were you going to say Brannan said Something like "....combat vet, and im not going to take any shit from young punk cop like you who shows no respect" Brannan said after he was hit with the ASP the pain of it flipped the switch, before he was more challenging the officer, and then thought he beat Dinkheller up to teach him a lesson But after he was struck Brannan was at war I wish Dinkheller would have knocked him out and cuffed him never even pulling his gun |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
And about the flashbacks, I believe it for sure, Brannan loved his CO in Vietnam, Brannan was in charge of scouting for traps and when his CO was doing something to get a better look with telescope he waked right into a landmine and was blown apart Not only did Brannan feel and take full responsibillity, his fellow soilders let him know that the one CO they all loved and would do anything for is dead because you were being lazy Thats why Brannan had no fear of death, he thinks he killed his CO and should give his life as well I know how heavy that would weigh on me Edit: By no way does that excuse his actions at all, I just believe the part about Brannan having flashbacks I dont care if its the most intense real flashback thats possible, you need to control real world vs your mind |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
It's interesting that you mentioned Dinkheller being the top marksman in his PD, considering what transpired during the shootout. But I suppose that's the difference between a battle hardened, traumatised vietnam veteran with a death-wish, and a young less experienced cop who's probably never been any serious danger. Where is Brannan now? Is he dead? |

[QUOTE=Where is Brannan now? Is he dead?[/QUOTE] Nope. His worthless as is sitting on Georgia's death row still waiting to die. If the motherfucker feels that badly about what happened to his CO (and I totally understand that and don't hold it against him), he should've taken that rifle and used it on himself. Not fucked with a young cop who was just trying to do his job and then murdered him when all the cop was trying to do was protect himself. Seems Brannan was hoping for a suicide by cop and in the course of that got freaked out and needlessly killed someone. Fuck Andrew Brannan. |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
People like this are ones killed getting car jacked! That's why there is the "Right to bear arms" so we can protect ourselves. Don't blame the instrument of death but the idiot holding it. That guy had no business being free to roam the streets and believe me, if it wasn't this poor bastard, it would have eventually been some poor inocent retard like yourself, who wouldn't have had anything to use in their own defense but to say, "Please don't kill me yet, I am calling a peace officer first".
