Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
total bullshit. this cop has no one to blame but himself. I read his story and he was described as being a guy that was just "too nice" to ever take a life, even when his was in danger. Savor the flavor cause it aint many of his kind on the force |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
this video is still used during training at police academies. The officer made several mistakes that and new recruits will learn from it. He failed to keep the control of the situation. He should have used force without hesitation. I wasn't there and I will never know what was going through his mind to try and talk the guy down from his erratic behavior. RIP brother

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
It seems like a veteran would prefer an m16 or ar15, considering thats what he would have used in the war. and that he would HATE the ak47 for killing so many of his comrades. |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
Deputy Dinkheller was shot and killed after pulling over a man on a rural road about 6 miles north of Dublin, GA. During the traffic stop he called in for backup. Before the backup arrived he was shot by the man with a rifle. He was able to return fire, striking the suspect in the stomach. The suspect was found during a search the next morning and taken into custody. The incident was videotaped by an a camera in the cruiser. On January 28, 2000, the suspect was found guilty of murder and on January 30 was sentenced to death. Deputy Dinkheller is survived by his pregnant wife and 22-month-old daughter. Deputy Dinkheller's son was born in early September, 1998. The story goes that Deputy Dinkheller had pulled the subject over the day before and saw him again on this day and pulled him again. As soon as the subject got out of the car and started acting up Deputy Dinkheller called for backup. The male subject went back to the truck with repeated verbal commands from the officer to stay where he was. He then came out with a 30 carbon at which point Deputy Dinkheller stated several times for the male subject to drop the gun. At this point the male subject began firing, striking Deputy Dinkheller a total of 7 times (the last of these shots was a shot to the head fired as Deputy Dinkheller lay on the ground w/ 6 shots already in him). Deputy Dinkheller was only able to return 1 shot. |

Re: Deputy Dinkheller Gunned Down by M1 Carbine rifle
That's (the cop) Kyle Wayne Dinkheller, last shot delivered to the right eye, barrel in the eye socket. It's an M1 or some other low-velocity rifle, rest of the shots were methodic suppresive fire (shooting out joints individually). This has been posted here, but it's a great video in terms of disturbance. This happens to be the #1 on my (theoretical) list of videos that make me physically cringe. I would've shot the dude in the legs the moment he started dancing in the street, if I were a cop. The cop had an expectant wife and a daughter. |
