Because in the U.S., every time a law enforcement officer does use force like you're describing, they get accused of using excessive force and police brutality and all that nonsense. It's pretty annoying when I constantly hear people bashing law enforcement when their job entitles them to mitigate threats by either protecting themselves from a threat or protecting others againts a threat towards that person(s).  |
