He was severely mentally ill. Poor guy. It should have been on record so that every cop responding to the call was aware of this. Looked a little uncalled for. They must have a contingency for something like this that doesn't invoke the use of deadly force.

I've seen so many killer cops lately it's refreshing to see a good shooting. No question about it. He wouldn't stop. VS. the cops just shoot a guy for holding it not even moving. Not that any shooting is good...just saying...   |

So, he was mentally ill. Yes, that sucks. It also sucks that he stabbed his mother in the neck, and had a history of violence. I don't give a damn if you're mentally ill or not: If you try to or succeed at killing someone, frankly society is better off with you no longer being a part of it. And before you jump all over me with, "It's just a disease that needs to be treated!": People with diabetes, heart disease, liver failure, etc don't try to kill people because they have their particular disease.  |
